Birdie update

Isn't this precious? I honestly didn't think our little mama would end up laying eggs here. We didn't see her for a while after she built her nest and I read that only 40% of nests actually get used. We were surprised to see these 4 little blue eggs on Sunday. They should hatch in 12-14 days. So if you come to our house you may see a sign that says "Quiet, please, birdies nesting!" :)

Unexpected Visitors...

Everyone who knows our family well can tell you that we are animal lovers. That's why we were excited to see two big robin birds making a big ol' nest on our front door. Yes, our front door! Right in my flowers of my door bucket. We're not sure if they'll stick around long enough to lay eggs but it would be a lot of wasted work if they don't. They made this in two days. How fun!

Here is our front door. Notice how my bucket is lopsided? That's the nest weighing it down.

We think this is the mama

Binki Babies

These pictures make me laugh! My mom found these of Whitney and her cousin, Marley, when they were only 1 1/2 yrs old! This was Kiaya's jeep but Whitney LOVED to cruise around in it and take Marley for a ride too. We just turned the wheel and the two would drive in circles as long as we'd let them. Aren't they so funny?

I can get my Daddy to do anything!

Whitney had been bugging me all morning to paint her fingernails and of course she wanted me to do it right in the middle of making everyone breakfast. I kept telling her "not right now, I'll do it later." We all know how patient kids are, right. So she went and got Jon to do it. LOL! What a GREAT man!! He even did it with a broken hand. I guess this is how it has to be when all you have is little girls. :) Don't worry, tho, later that day he was teaching her how to ride the 3-wheeler all by herself.
